Maria's artwork reflects a deep expressionist emotionality. Not easily categorized, her multi-media works are at once whimsical, serious, feminine and concrete. A first-generation Russian-American, she brings a unique point-of-view, one that conveys the seriousness of the current times and inherent sensitivity for the colorful abstraction of the modern Russian artistic tradition.

I am a Russian-Ukranian contemporary artist, working here in the US for the last 25 years.
Art is my outlet, it is inspired by many moods, mood swings, good days, bad days, ups, downs - you name it.
It is ALL human condition.
Look. See. Feel.
The last thing I wish, as an artist, is to tell folks what to feel, to expect others to identify with everything I may BE at a given moment.
I hope that you find your own meaning, relevant to you, and THAT is what attracts you to my work.
